SEARCH AND RESCUE
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who work through the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department. The team conducts searches for missing persons throughout Contra Costa County and assists other search teams during mutual aid call outs. Requests for searches must be initiated through the sheriff’s office or other law enforcement agency.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
United States Citizen, Naturalized Citizen, or completed Citizenship within the last year. At least 21 years of age. Minimum age is 18 years old to apply. Valid California Drivers License. Be able to pass a thorough background investigation. Written exam, and oral interview. Work and home schedule that will permit attendance at required monthly meetings.
Availability for emergency call outs (24 hours a day).
